Andrea Kennedy is a queer & nonbinary visual artist from Syracuse, New York, who specializes in photography, film, and sculpture. Andrea is a summa cum laude BFA graduate of Cazenovia College with specializations in photography, sculpture, art history, and philosophy. Their work emphasizes on portals into alternative realities and unconventional ways of seeing. They are deeply interested in the pursuit of genuine expressions and depictions of self, and their portrait work is dedicated almost exclusively to the queer and trans community. A dedication to traditional and analogue processes is embedded in much of their photographic work, though digital processes are incorporated. Their sculptural work spans multiple mediums such as glass, wood, metal, and readymades, and often explores the idea of diorama as portal. Andrea lives and works in upstate New York.
